He is survived by: his wife Martha Buffington; his daughter Gina Surratt (Kyle); his granddaughters, Jordan Surratt and Reese Surratt; his sisters, Faye Dunlap and Karen Farrell (Jim); and his siblings-in-law, Minnie Buffington and Eddie McAfee (Joy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barton Funeral Home (131 Summer St, Adairsville, GA 30103). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church (174 Mostellers Mill Rd, Adairsville, GA 30103).
