He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Staton and Hubert Staton; his siblings, J. D. Staton, Coralee Summers, Louise Whitley and Katherine Fortner; and his children, Teresa Cannon and David Staton.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Staton; and his daughters, Amy Carter, Mary Minicucci (Tony) and Nancy Peak (Brandon Young). He is also survived by Grandchildren - 9, Great Grand Children.
