She was predeceased by: her parents, James Isaac Cowart and Ella Mamie Pettigrew Cowart; her husband Joseph; and her sisters, Estell Walker, Ethel Neese, Thelma Cowart and Dorothy Crowe.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Dodson (Penny), Brenda Brooks (Butch) and Tony Dodson (Patti). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends.
