She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman, Jr. Hunt and Bessie Oxendine Hunt; and her brother Governor "Buddy" Locklear. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Summerlin (Beth) and Aaron Summerlin (Allie); her siblings, Norman Hunt (Vickie), Johnny Hunt (Janet) and Barbara Buzzell; and her grandchildren, Kolby, Miles, Anna, Oliver, Avery, Alex, Ava and AJ. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the GracePointe Marietta Baptist Church (505 Atlanta St SE, Marietta, GA 30060). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the GreenLawn Memorial Park (1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
