She was predeceased by: her parents, H. B. Spence and Hattie Spence; her daughter Veronica Benson; and her siblings, Robert, Elip, Minnie, Junior, Joanne, Donald and Floyd.

She is survived by: her brother-in-law James W. Green; her husband W. Frank Lowry; her siblings, Irma (James W. Green) of Jasper, Georgia and Henry (Pauline Spence) of Cleveland, Georgia; and her granddaughter Jill (Greg Faircloth) of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many Great nieces and great nephews.

Ruby was very active in her church, Little River Methodist Church, where she and her husband attended regularly throughout their marriage until Covid-19 hit.
