He was predeceased by: his parents, Flossie Arrington McDonald and John "Royce" McDonald Sr.; and his siblings, Jerrell McDonald Sr., Sybil Etterle and Mac McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Janie "Libby" Elizabeth McDonald; his children, Greg McDonald (Lisa), Jan O'Steen (Doug) and Angela M. Clark (Russell); his grandchildren, Sarah O'Steen, Seth O'Steen (Madison), Morgan McDonald and Kelly McDonald; and his sister Iris Padgett. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family; his church family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James Funeral Home (630 N Main St, Wrens, GA 30833). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wrens Church of God (102 Phillips St, Wrens, GA 30833). A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:30 PM at the Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
