She was predeceased by : her parents, Arlie Bird and Annie Dell Hollaway Bird; her significant other Michael Rogers; and her brother Randall Bird. She is survived by : her children, Charles Akridge (Ellen) of Swainsboro, Dennis Akridge of Swainsboro, David Akridge (Bessy) of Stillmore, Gail Turner (Rollie) of Summertown, Doris Colston (Joe) of Bartow and Susan Orce (David) of Wrightsville; and her siblings, Charles Bird (Wanda) of Stillmore, Faye McCranie of Cobbtown and Betty Jane Rogers of Aline. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
