She was predeceased by : her parents, Bennie Tanner and Mary Garner Tanner; her husband Lewis Hanson Edwards, Sr.; and her siblings, Mary Ann Fanning, Judy White, Lynn Harrell, J. W. Tanner, Billy Tanner, Roy Tanner, Mickey Tanner, Donald Tanner, Fred Tanner and Cecil Tanner.

She is survived by : her children, Lewis Hanson Edwards, Jr. of Kite and Krystal Dawn Edwards of Wrightsville; her sisters, Betty Jackson of Tennille and Dorothy Claxton of Alaska; and her grandchildren, Brittany Marie Edwards and Layla Hartlyn Edwards. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
