He is survived by: his wife Holly Williamson Brett; his children, Chan Sumner (Jessica) and Kayden Sumner (Chris); his sister Jennifer Brett Thigpen (Jonathan); his nieces, Makayla Thigpen, Alaina Thigpen and Shanna Grace Thigpen; his siblings-in-law, Lee Williamson (Ashlyn), Shelby Carter (Franklin) and Ashley Harrison (Justin); his father-in-law Raymond Wilson; and his grandchildren, Lilly Sumner and Lane Sumner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Richard N. Stanley Memorial Chapel (8580 S Marcus St, Wrightsville, GA 31096). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at the Westview Cemetery (612 W Court St, Wrightsville, GA 31096).
