With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Ray Scott of Wrightsville, Georgia, who passed away on December 8, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Pratt Scott and Gladyne Scott. He is survived by : his wife Brenda Burgamy Scott; his sons, Jody Scott (Jenny) and Jonathan Scott (Mandy); his grandchildren, Jake (Hanna), Jasmine (Jeremy), Jax (Abigail) and Josey; his great grandchildren, Jack of Wrightsville, Jace of Wrightsville and Jensen of Wrightsville; his siblings, Jackie Williams of Scott, Joel Scott (Judy) of Wrightsville and Judy Scott Jackson (Loy) of Kentucky; and his siblings-in-law, Donnie Burgamy (Kathy), Gene McCoy (Lowie), Ray McCoy (Charlene), Franklin Pate and Kathy Warren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mr. Scott's name to New Home Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Kay Harrison, 503 Fortner Road, Kite, GA 31049.
