He is survived by: his wife Janice Jackson McAfee; his children, Debra M. Brooks (Ricky), Donna M. Powell (Gary) and John William McAfee, Sr. (Stephanie); his brothers, Billy McAfee (Kay) and Bobby McAfee (Jeanette); his sister-in-law Betty McAfee; and his grandchildren, Jarred Powell (Sheila), Cassie Brooks, Colby Smith (Alexa), Matt Brooks (Lauren), Heather Martin (Derreck), Marci Osborne (Mitch), Kennedy Angles (T. J.), John William McAfee (Mary Lee) and Christian McAfee. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Richard N. Stanley Memorial Chapel (8580 S Marcus St, Wrightsville, GA 31096). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
