She was predeceased by : her parents, Vaughn William Hughes Sr. and Maebelle Thomas Hughes; and her siblings, Beatrice Clark, Lois Corn, Norma Jean Galloway and Vaughn 'Bud William Hughes Jr..

She is survived by : her sister Elsie Hughes Nelson; and her sister-in-law Jeannette Coker Hughes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives.
