He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Matheson and Edra Powell Matheson; his wife Geneva Frances Campbell Matheson; and his siblings, Dorothy Wellman, Glen, George and David Matheson.
He is survived by : his daughters, April Matheson of Young Harris, Joanie (Donald Hogsed) and Della Matheson of Young Harris; his sisters, Christine "Tootsie" Fields of Young Harris, Carolyn (Gerald Hall) of Young Harris and Betty Lackey of Young Harris; his grandson Brett (Ashley Hogsed); and his great grandchild Raelee Hogsed. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
