He was predeceased by: his parents, Harve Hooper and Roberta Hooper (Townsend); his wife Virginia; and his brother Vinson. He is survived by: his son Derek (Kim) of Atlanta; his grandsons, Jake Hooper and Josh Hooper (Jenifer) of Atlanta; his siblings, Opal Choate of Friendswood, Ruth Hood of Young Harris, Faye Lasiter (Charles) of Bakersfield, Grace Burch (Ronnie) of Hayesville, NC, Hines Hooper (Shirley) of Young Harris, Jack Hooper of Panama City, James Hooper (Rita) of Young Harris and Rev. Terry Hooper (Paula) of Young Harris; and his friend Beverly Messer of Young Harris. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
