With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merle Eudora Wright of Young Harris, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Merle Eudora may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Hart and Ruth Preston; her stepfather Jessie Godby; her son Joey Howell; and her siblings, Sandra Godby Etris (Elaine Hart) and Danny Hart.
She is survived by: her children, Karl Thorpe, Connie Smith, James Howell and Lisa Rockford; and her siblings, Kenneth Godby, David Hart and Norma Lindell. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren nieces, nephews and friends.
