It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Swofford Plunkett of Young Harris, Georgia, born in Douglasville, Georgia, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Ewell Plunkett and Effie Vera Swofford Plunkett; and his siblings, Marvin Plunkett and Cora Tush. He is survived by : his wife Debra Conner Plunkett of Young Harris; his children, Darlene Moody of Douglasville, GA., Travis Plunkett of Lithia Springs, GA. and Jon Plunkett of Blairsville; his sisters, Martha Davis of Smyrna, GA. and Evelyn Steele; his grandchildren, Chase, Deniese Kimsey, RJ, Hannah Widener, Destiny Moody, Autumn, Brooke, Mikey and Landon Plunkett; and his great grandchildren, Zoey, Luci Kimsey and Maddex Widener. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
