We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2025, at the age of 67, Cheryl Murphy of Zebulon, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Cheryl farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Cheryl is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Luther Murphy, Jr.; her grandchildren, Thomaslee Singletary (Destiny), Victoria Singletary, Henry Alton "Hank" and Leta Guined; her great grandchildren, Collin Jay Singletary and Brayden Smith; and her siblings, David Fincher (Teresa) and Carol McGill. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel (8968 Fayetteville Rd, Jonesboro, GA 30238). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at the TBD Jonesboro City Cemetery.
