With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Hazel Johnson of Zebulon, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Hazel left this world on June 26, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. Though Hazel may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Hazel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norval Hunsperger and Dowan Day Hunsperger; and her husband Ralph William "Bill" Johnson. She is survived by: her daughters, Shelly Smiley (Chuck) and Stacy Gillis (Jerry); her grandchildren, Cameron Smiley (Mattie), Cassie Waldrop (Bailey), Jared Gillis and Ethan Gillis; and her great grandchildren, Easton and Emmett. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Moody Memorial Gardens (10170 US-19, Zebulon, GA 30295).
