He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Howard Vaughn; his brothers, Harold (Jerlene Vaughn), Alton (Katherine Vaughn), Willard Vaughn and Junious Vaughn; his brothers-in-law, Gray Pinson, Gary Chasteen and Bobby Donehoo; his sisters, Doris (Harris Perkins) and Kathleen (George Evans); and his sister-in-law Marie Vaughn.
He is survived by: his daughter Debra; his son-in-law Rodney Middlebrooks; his granddaughter Amanda; his grandson-in-law Chad Shockley; his siblings, Molly Pinson, Hazel Chasteen, Carol Donehoo and Charlie Vaughn; and his sister-in-law Pat Howard (Susie P. Shaw).
