Ambika Rose Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Ambika Rose of Captain Cook, Hawaii. Ambika, born on March 14, 1942, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joyce Atwood and Bernard Atwood; and her brothers, Richard and Robert Atwood. She is survived by: her children, Irenee Rose Beattie (Nella Van Dyke) of Merced, California, David Atwood Beattie (Alicia Lee) of Amelia Island, Ken G. Kosada (Alexis) of Captain Cook and Alan Monakhov of Honolulu; her grandchildren, Elsa, Sadie, Freya, Anthony, Skyler, Gianna and Zachary; her brother James Atwood (Ken G); and her friend Parivartan Kosada of Kealakekua.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Daifukuji Soto Mission Temple (79-7241 Mamalahoa Hwy, Kealakekua, HI 96750). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Daifukuji Soto Mission Endowment Fund or the Amrit Yoga Institute.
