He was predeceased by: his mother Kimie D. Fujiura; his stepfather David Fujiura; and his father Shaw Uriu. He is survived by: his son Jared Kawanami (Box); and his godson Evan Johnson. He is also survived by many aunties, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 5:00 PM and on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Green Hills Mortuary & Memorial Chapel (27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275).
