She is survived by: her children, Peter Young, Jr. of Kukuihaele, Cindy Lou Kaleohano (Smith) of Hilo, Dianna Kalamau (John) of Waimea, Sherry Ann Pung (Darcy) of Honokaa, Melina Young of Kawaihae and David Young (Danielle) of Ainaloa; and her siblings-in-law, Wardell Young of Waimea and Dorothy Carter of Connecticut. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ka Hoku Ao Malamalama Church (205 Lyman Ave, Hilo, HI 96720). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. (110 Laimana St, Hilo, HI 96720).
