With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen Akiko Tao of Hilo, Hawaii, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on January 16, 2024 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ellen Akiko Tao to pay them a last tribute.

She is survived by : her children, Sheri Kimura (Alan) of Hilo and Scott Tao; her sisters, Mary Ann Fujishige of Honolulu and Norma Sukita of Honolulu; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Izumi of Honolulu, Janet Iida of Hilo and Kathleen Nishimura of Honolulu. She is also survived by three grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
