He is survived by : his wife Beverly Smith; and his children, Tonya Hardin Santos (Frank), Allen Smith (Lenora), Tracy A. Hardin, Toni Clark (Eric), Tina Hardin and Howard Smith, III (Gwendolyn). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and cousins.
