We are sad to announce that, on December 23, 2025, at the age of 94, Itsuko Sawada of Hilo, Hawaii, born in Kealakekua, Hawaii passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Itsuko leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She is survived by: her daughter Rene Nishimoto (Dean Norwood) of Honolulu; her brother Masamori Takaki (Eva) of Hilo; her daughter-in-law Sandra Sawada of Keaau; and her sister-in-law Ayame Takaki of Hilo, Four.
