It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Makiko Ohashi (Hilo, Hawaii), who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by : her children, Glenn Ohashi (Kathy Isherwood) of Hilo, Arleen Ogasawara of Kaneohe and Iris Ohashi (Ryan Camero) of Hilo; her siblings, Tatsuo Higa of Honolulu, George Higa (Joyce) of Hilo, James Higa of Kauai, Richard Higa of San Gabriel, Reginald Higa of Alaska, Yaeko Chung of Honolulu, Chieko Toyama of Honolulu and Jeanne Wong (Kenneth) of Mililani; and her sister-in-law Aiko Fujimoto of Hilo. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
