He is survived by: his wife Deena Kahele; his children, Sherman Kahele (Kamela), Nelson Kahele, Jr., Rodney Kahele (Misty), Randall Kahele (Alice), Kealoha Kahele, Michael Coleman (Angela), Geraldine Kahele (Patrick), Sheila-ann Kamaka-Baniaga (Hansel), Jamie, Nalani Miller (Eddie), Leahi Kahele, Judie Kahele, Salena Kahele (Cody), Waipiolani Kahele (Austin), Josephine Bishop and Natasha Machado (Loren); and his sisters, Daisy Chiartano and Jeanette Evans. He is also survived by 42 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
