It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Richard Silva of Hilo, Hawaii, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his wife Rowena Silva of Hilo; his children, Shellie Paiva (Moku) of Oahu, Julie Silva (Jinky) of Oahu and Dallas Silva (Kehau) of Henderson, Nevada; his stepchildren, Glenn "Tookey" Shiroma, Jr. (Chantee) of Hilo, Grant Shiroma, Sr. of Hilo, Glen "Sonny" Manikis (Elke) of Hilo and Tracie Salas (Dane) of Hilo; his mother Shirley-Mae Silva of Oahu; his siblings, Bernadette Bellevou of Oahu and Douglas Silva of Oahu; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Hulama, Sr. of Ewa Beach, Jesse Hulama, Sr. (Debbie) of Pepeekeo, Stanford "Puggy" Hulama, Sr. (Linda) of Kaiwiki, Joanne "Joey" Hulama of Hilo, Faye Williams of Hilo, Barbara Hulama of Waikoloa and Nova Garcia of Kauai. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
