He is survived by: his wife Ruth Kahele of Hilo; his sons, William Kahele of Hilo, Derwin Kahele (Leonell) of Pahoa and Nicalos Kahele of Hilo; his daughter-in-law Clarice Kahele of Hilo; his siblings, Germaine Kila of Oahu, Harollyn Kahe'e of Hilo and Jordan Kahele of Hilo; and his siblings-in-law, Paulette Iopa of Hilo, Susan Lebehn, Maggie Martinez (Edward), Rachel Kaholoa'a of Kona, Elizabeth Polido, Gay Polido, Marilyn Polido, Lorna Kalili (Raymond) of Pahala, Solomon Polido of Hilo, Ken Polido (Jo Ann) of Kurtistown, Edward Polido (Sandra) and Ricky Polido (Erika) of Pahala. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and was loved by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
