He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford and Doretha; and his sister Wilma. He is survived by: his son Alfred Shorter (Seneca); his grandchild Kaiu; his daughter Dorothea Shorter; and his siblings, Jaunita (Allen), Katie, Betty, Eliza and Elaine.
