He is survived by: his children, Joseph Choy (Monica), Johannsen (Faith), Jordan (Ja'Nae), Joshua (Dannelle), Jonathan Chaves and Jodi Viernes (Blaise); and his siblings, Wilfred Tabian, Elmer Chaves, Edward Haili, Charlie Mitchell, Sean Chaves, Jerry Haili, Clyde Haili, John Kong, Doreen Spencer, Kathleen Agaran, Aileen Alvarez, Gwen Jamile, Dolores Haili, Marilyn Kendall, Stacey-Lynn Alaniz, Selina-Ann Meditz, Cindy Halemano, Cloreen Cummings and Rose Miles. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
