He is survived by: his children, Margaret Wiley (Pat) of La Crosse, WI, Elizabeth Gaudia (Reuben), Paul Makiya (Ellen) of Thiensville, WI, Jim Makiya (Reine) of Wauwatosa, WI, Mary Stauber (Jim) of Brookfield, WI, Robert Makiya (Lori) of Honolulu, HI, Thomas Makiya (Joni) of Ewa, HI, Michele Salas (Ralph) of Atlanta, GA and Catherine Gietzen (Eric) of Shorewood, WI.; his grandchildren, Kapeka, Denis, Jonathan, Lauren, Matthew, Cari, David, Jake, Sam, Samantha, Desmond, Breyton, Brycen, Kayli, Jonah, Micah, Max and Kai; and his wife Marion Von Rueden. He is also survived by his 8 great-grandchildren.
