He was predeceased by : his parents, Roland K. Saffery and Cecilia Y. Saffery. He is survived by : his wife Malia De Jesus-Saffery; his children, Chadwick K. Saffery (Jane) of San Diego, CA, Danielle Cecilia Saffery of Waipio, HI and Bishop E. De Jesus-Saffery of Waipio, HI; his stepdaughter Ashly K. De Jesus; and his siblings, Anthony Saffery of Hilo, HI, Marie Evans (Andrew) of Philomath, OR, Geraldine Saffery (Michael Ebesugawa) of Hilo, HI and Michele K. Saffery of Honolulu, HI. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
