As Roger departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Roger may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Roger leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Pannier and Helen Pannier. He is survived by: his wife Tala Vinluan; his children, Steve Pannier and Karen Allen (Glen); and his stepchildren, Glen Kakugawa (Sandy), Liana Kakugawa and Wanda Kakugawa. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the King's Cathedral Church (777 Maui Veterans Hwy, Kahului, HI 96732). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Roger's love for the ocean by spending time in nature, near the sea, or by supporting a local marine conservation effort of your choice.
