He is survived by : his wife Terry Kahakauwila; his children, Karissa Kaeo (Jim), Garrett Kahakauwila (Shannon Torres) and Heidi Kahakauwila (Wayne Alvior); his siblings, David "Sonny" Kahakauwila (late Nancy), Noella Ito (Kyle) and Melinda Kahakauwila; his sisters-in-law, Leila Kawano (late Gary) and Millie Septimo (Boysie); and his grandchildren, Kalena, Kailana, Dustin, Shaestan, Shaela, Shaenaia and Thor.
