Jean Robert Martin, Sr., 87, of Kamuela, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 5, 1935. He was a freight clerk of Young Brothers. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Survived by, wife, Eloise Martin of Kamuela; daughters, Margaret (Clay) Deering of Utah, Gina (Edwin) Cabu of Kaneohe, Oahu, Mahealani Martin of Hamakua and Kapiolani (Kainoa) Spencer of Kailua-Kona; sons, Jean Martin, Jr. of Kapolei, Lawrence DeRego of Kamuela and Albert (Rose) DeRego of Keaau; brother, Jules (Frances) Martin of California; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

I love you and mostly miss calling you every morning hearing your voice and having such good conversation about anything and mostly for being my voice of reason when I needed you. IMY!”
