He is survived by: his wife Merlani Kanahele; his children, Jennie Peahi (Apela Jr.), Frank Kanahele, Jr. (Sharon), Brian Kanahele and Cassel Kanahele (Masano); and his sister Denelle Reis. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
