He is survived by: his wife Dr. Myrna Valin; and his children, Dr. Elmer Valin, Dr. Nathaniel Valin, David Valin, Kristoffer Valin, Diana Garabiles and Donna Valin. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
