Kazuko Shimasaki Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kazuko Shimasaki of Keaau, Hawaii, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 17, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Kazuko departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Kazuko may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Kazuko leaves behind.
She is survived by: her sons, Calvin Shimasaki of Keaau and Russell Shimasaki of Hilo; and her sisters, Dorothy Quantes of Tennessee and Aiko Squires (Rayford) of Florida. She is also survived by three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Puna Covenant Church (16-647 Old Volcano Rd, Keaau, HI 96749). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
