With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas H. K. McCandless of Keaau, Hawaii, born in Seattle, Washington, who passed away on June 22, 2023 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert K. McCandless Sr. and Thelma M. Vierra; his son Thomas H. K. McCandless, Jr.; and his siblings, Francis G. McCandless, Robert K. McCandless Jr. and Gwen Richards.

He is survived by : his children, Francina Akalaonu, Brandy McCandless and Christopher H. K. McCandless; his sisters, Helen Ferry, Thelma Teixeira and Madeline Hiram; and his half-siblings, Clifford Figueroa and Marie Miller. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
