She was predeceased by: her husband Ephraim "Sonny" Kahele Bergau, Jr.; and her children, Shauna Bergau (Shaunamay), Ephraim Kahele Bergau III and Keanu Robert Bergau. She is survived by: her children, Rick Ziegler (Lori), Lloyd Bergau (Donna), Gail Bergau Matsui (Patrick), Pamela Bergau, Deb "Pua" Jeremiah (late Wendell), Ka'ohuokalehua M. Bergau, Kuulei M. Bergau and David Troy Lopaka (Tammi). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ballard Family Mortuary-Kahului (440 Ala Makani St, Kahului, HI 96732). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Maui Veterans Cemetery (3361 Baldwin Ave, Makawao, HI 96768). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ballard Family Mortuary (440 Ala Makani St, Kahului, HI 96732). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Maui Veterans' Cemetery.
