He is survived by: his wife Joan Barnes; his son Jon (Sarka); his grandsons, Shane and Gabe; his brothers, Edward Behrends of Parkersburg, Larry Behrends (Gail) of Mason City and DeWayne Behrends (Kathy) of Evansdale; his sisters-in-law, Pat Bierman of Ackley, Iowa. and Mary Barnes of Hampton, Iowa.; Linda Allen (James) of Mason City, Norma Craighton (Jack) of Mason City, Jane Humphrey of Clear Lake and Judy Begalske (David) of Clear Lake, Iowa.. He is also survived by many nieces/nephews and cousins.
