He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bierman and Dena Bierman (Harms); his former wife Gladys Ann Behrends; and his siblings, Lawrence, Floyd, Imogene Maifeld, Berdena Wolff and Lorraine Schipper-Kalkwarf.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Weber; his children, Marvin Bierman (Darla), Geniece Wright (David), Judy Eilderts (Gaylen) and Mary Jo Ohnemus (Duane); and his stepchildren, Craig Weber (Stacey) and Lorrie Stromer (Dave). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Aplington AMVETS, First Reformed Church, Aplington Fire Department, Redman Funeral & Cremation Services – Aplington Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
