Willard DeBerg Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willard DeBerg of Ackley, Iowa, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Claus DeBerg and Cornelia DeBerg; his brothers, Dewayne DeBerg and Newlyn DeBerg; and his siblings-in-law, Dolores DeBerg and Marvin Ellingson.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Lindaman; his children, Debra Jo McDowell (Jim), Steven Kenwood DeBerg (Kelly) and Michael John DeBerg (Janet); and his grandchildren, Jess Billerbeck (Andrew), Jory McDowell (Ally), Ben DeBerg (Adie), Emily DeBerg, Nicole Becker, Kaley Anderlik (Justin), Julie Brissette, Korey DeBerg, Kollin DeBerg, Austin Schlatter (Kate) and Casey Schlatter. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Legion in Ackley, Iowa, or The Village in Ackley, Iowa.
