He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Heckman and Ada Heckman (Wedemeyer); his siblings, Leonard, Glenard, Burdette, Walter, Paul, Iva Scarlett and Ruth Moore; and his brothers-in-law, James Marquis and Merle Noland.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Spangler; his children, Kevin (Judy), Brian (Sherri) and Mary Renee (Brian Thielges); his grandchildren, Laurie, Angela, David, Kelly, Nikki, Eric and Trent; and his great grandchildren, Zander, Emma, Landon, Will, Tori, Emily, Anaka, Ben and Ryder.
