She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Klaus and Leona Klaus (Knutsen); her husband Vernon King; her son Shawn King; her siblings, Milford Klaus (Edith), Dorothy Fisher (Herald), Doris Thompson (Francis), Wilma Neumann (Herb), Orvan Klaus and Sharon Swink (Herman); her parents-in-law, Eugene Byron and Harriet "Hatti" King (Weed); and her siblings-in-law, Glen Tanner, Evelyn Podey (Lloyd), Merlin King (Dorothy), Deloris Jessen, Roy King and Jack Jessen.

She is survived by : her children, Scott King (Donna) of Des Moines, IA and Susan Lemke (Lenard) of Casey, IA; her grandchildren, Bryan King, Brittany Cooley, Carlen Lemke (Katrina) and Waylen Lemke; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Christian, Carolyn, Hannah and Masen; and her sister-in-law Pearl Schau (Ed).

A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the St. Clair Cemetery (141 IA-141, Ute, IA 51060).
