With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis E Carney of Adair, Iowa, who passed away on February 3, 2024 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, George Wegner and DeVerda Wegner; her husband Richard H. Carney; her children, David George and Susan Lee; her sisters, Isabel Langner and Mary Ellen Wegner; her brothers-in-law, Ray Langner and Calvin Carney; and her daughter-in-law Susan M. Carney.
She is survived by : her children, Barb Morris (Terry) of Okoboji, IA and Charles Carney (Vickie) of Adair; her grandchildren, Andrew Morris (Audra) of Leawood, KS, Ryan Morris (Katie) of LeMars, IA, Molly Conlon (Matt) of Spencer, IA, Jamie Moellers (Mike) of Ankeny, IA, Tyler Carney (Jessica) of Adair, Jeremy Christofferson (Elizabeth) of Denver, CO, Brady Carney (Jenna) of Dallas Center, IA and Blair Carney (Erin) of Adair; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Canfield and Pat Carney of Adair, IA. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Carney Family in honor of Phyllis, to be designated to many of her favorite local organizations and charities.
