He was predeceased by: his mother Kay Helton. He is survived by: his father Lanny Helton Sr.; his wife Carolyn Helton (Ogren); his brothers, Lance and Lanny Helton Jr.; his children, Michael Helton and Jessica Helton; and his grandchildren, Brystal Webb, Bentley Webb, Wyatt and Cash Helton. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
