She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Copeland and Margaret Copeland (DeCamp). She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Copeland of Adel; her grandchildren, Kayden Robertson, Layna Pierce, Emmett Pierce, Peyten Robertson, Jaxon Pierce, Tayler Pierce, Travis Pierce (Whitney) and Tyler Pierce (Chelsea); her siblings, Jim, John, Joe Copeland, Sherri McDowell and Terri; and her cousin Heather Wachendorf. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home (735 S 14th St, Adel, IA 50003).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Dallas County Sheriff's office in Ellen's name.
