He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Schreck and Ruth Schreck (Dentlinger); his siblings, John Schreck and Lisa Schreck; his father-in-law Daryle Spatz; and his brother-in-law Dennis Ruebhausen.

He is survived by: his wife Kim Schreck; his children, Nikki West (James) of Adel, Ashley Wendell (Mike) of Adel and Danny Schreck (Kara) of Perry; his grandchildren, Deacon Schreck, Addison West, Lincoln West, Major Schreck and Ruthie Kay Schreck; his mother-in-law Mary Spatz; his siblings, Carol Winans (David), Mary Schreck, Joyce Ruebhausen, Bill Schreck (Shell), Tim Schreck, Cindy Schreck, Joe Schreck (Corlyn), Mike Schreck (Anne) and Ann Rainbolt (Rob); and his sister-in-law Gayle Schreck (Clay Smith).
